The Country Gardeners Club of Eastern Lancaster County meets on the third Thursday of each month except January and July.

Our Mission

The club was formed to stimulate interest in gardening generally and in cooperative garden work; to develop new ideas and improve gardening skill; to study in all its aspects the fine art of gardening and flower arranging; to encourage a well defined ecological balance between man and nature.

The Passion for Gardening - by Ken Druse
Gardening is my passion

If I could indulge myself in it for the rest of my life, it would not be enough time to learn all I want to know or....grow all the plants I dream about.

Sometime I feel a little guilty when I spend time playing in the soil, rather than attending to all the myriad things screaming for my attention. For one thing, if I'm out in the garden, I'm not getting a paycheck.

But, when I have such doubts, I remind myself that .....this pursuit ....at once Art and Science and, when practiced with care and conservation....is worthy of a lifetime of work.
